  • Our therapists do not require a referral to assess or treat you. However, some insurance companies require a physician or nurse practitioner referral for reimbursement.

It's best to check with your insurance provider to understand their specific requirements.

Our front desk staff are happy to help answer any questions regarding your insurance coverage.

  • We can bill most insurance companies directly for your physiotherapy, massage and acupuncture treatments. Counselling and Dietitian services vary depending on your plan. Most insurance companies, unfortunately, do not allow direct billing for Speech Therapy.

Your insurance company protects your privacy, and as a result, we are not able to access information about your coverage. You should speak to your company about the details of your plan, as every insurance plan/policy is unique and may have maximums per treatment and/or calendar year.

Our front desk staff would be happy to assist you with any questions regarding your insurance coverage for our services.

  • At Archstone, we prioritize your comfort and privacy. We offer private treatment rooms in a quiet, respectful, and confidential setting.

Our one-on-one sessions focus on your entire body, ensuring personalized care.

Your scheduled time is dedicated solely to you, without sharing your therapist with other patients. This approach aligns with our commitment to providing individualized, comprehensive care in a supportive environment.

  • We believe in a whole body assessment to find the root cause. Pelvic symptoms can come from issues anywhere from top to toe so we use our usual physio skills to assess and treat the whole body, establishing the cause of your symptoms as well as treating them directly.

Internal pelvic floor exams can be useful as it means we can assess your pelvic floor strength and ability to relax, and help give you feedback on how to exercise these muscles as well as do manual release if needed.

However, internal exams are NOT required and you will never be pressured to have an exam or any assessment or treatment you are not comfortable with.

How Can We Help?

Pelvic Health Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy can play an important role in helping men recover from prostate cancer.

After working to help rehabilitate hundred’s of men over the past 10 years, our men’s health physiotherapist, Frances, has a deep understanding of men’s issues.

She can help you in managing and reducing post-surgical pain, improving pelvic floor function, and addressing urinary incontinence and sexual health.

She recognizes the importance of doing more than just Kegels and she will work with you to implement an exercise program that is functional, progressive, and tailored to the activities that you are struggling with. For example if you are leaking during golf, we will work on specific exercises and strategies for your golf swing. If you are leaking more at the end of the day, we will come up with a specific training program to address fatigue.

Physiotherapy takes a whole body approach and we will look at strategies to enhance your physical strength, your mobility, and your overall well-being. Additionally ,Frances can provide guidance on lifestyle modifications and strategies to improve bladder function, reduce frequency and urgency and improve quality of life during recovery from cancer.

Licensed Counselling Therapist

Counselors can be essential in supporting men recovering from prostate cancer. They offer a compassionate space to address the emotional and psychological challenges that often accompany diagnosis and treatment, such as anxiety, depression, and changes in self-image.

Through therapy, our counselor can help you develop coping strategies, improve resilience, and navigate the complexities of the recovery journey. This emotional support is helpful in enhancing overall well-being and quality of life during and after prostate cancer treatment.

Changes in sexual function after prostate cancer treatment can significantly impact your self-image and relationships. Our counseling services address these concerns, offering both individual and couples counseling to help you navigate this challenging period. Through compassionate and expert guidance, we assist in rebuilding confidence, fostering open communication, and enhancing emotional connection. Our goal is to support you and your partner in adapting to these changes, ensuring a positive and supportive environment for your recovery and relationship.
