Our therapists do not require a referral to assess or treat you. However, some insurance companies require a physician or nurse practitioner referral for reimbursement.
It's best to check with your insurance provider to understand their specific requirements.
Our front desk staff are happy to help answer any questions regarding your insurance coverage.

We can bill most insurance companies directly for your physiotherapy, massage and acupuncture treatments. Counselling and Dietitian services vary depending on your plan. Most insurance companies, unfortunately, do not allow direct billing for Speech Therapy.
Your insurance company protects your privacy, and as a result, we are not able to access information about your coverage. You should speak to your company about the details of your plan, as every insurance plan/policy is unique and may have maximums per treatment and/or calendar year.
Our front desk staff would be happy to assist you with any questions regarding your insurance coverage for our services.

We believe in a whole body assessment to find the root cause. Pelvic symptoms can come from issues anywhere from top to toe so we use our usual physio skills to assess and treat the whole body, establishing the cause of your symptoms as well as treating them directly.
Internal pelvic floor exams can be useful as it means we can assess your pelvic floor strength and ability to relax, and help give you feedback on how to exercise these muscles as well as do manual release if needed.
However, internal exams are NOT always required and you will never be pressured to have an exam or any assessment or treatment you are not comfortable with. Check out our what to expect letter for more information on what an initial appointment might look like.
How Can We Help?
Pelvic Health Physiotherapy
If pelvic floor dysfunction or endometriosis is contributing to pelvic pain, sexual pain or dysfunction, an assessment with one of our pelvic health physiotherapists may be beneficial.
By addressing muscular imbalances, improving pelvic floor function, and enhancing overall pelvic health, physiotherapists can optimize fertility outcomes.
Licensed Counselling Therapist
Our counsellors provide a safe and empathetic space to explore feelings of grief, frustration, and anxiety that often accompany fertility and reproductive struggles. Working with a counselor can help to foster resilience, empower decision-making, and promote a positive outlook. They are able to offer coping strategies, communication tools, and emotional support to help individuals and couples maintain mental well-being.
Reproductive trauma is a silent area of women’s health that has a significant impact on those who experience it. We offer trauma-informed counselling therapy that supports individuals and couples through the impact of reproductive trauma.
Acupuncture
Our Certified Acupuncturist, Sharon Messer, can meet with you and your partner to assess whether acupuncture can integrate into your infertility treatments.
Acupuncture has gained recognition for its potential role in supporting fertility and addressing infertility issues. It is believed to promote relaxation, reduce stress, and improve blood flow to reproductive organs, which can enhance fertility.
Acupuncture may also regulate hormones, improve ovarian function, and support a healthy menstrual cycle. As part of a holistic approach to fertility care, acupuncture can complement conventional treatments and help individuals optimize their chances of conception.
Registered Dietitian
Our dietitian, Sarah has a special interest and training in treating PCOS, reproductive health, and intuitive eating.
Sarah can help you work on a whole-person health solution, look at health outside of body size, and consider a sustainable and enjoyable plan for gentle nutrition as first-line therapy in your overall plan.
Sarah can offer help with PCOS nutrition, exercise, supplements, sleep management, and more. Whether you're a teen with PCOS, battling PCOS infertility, approaching menopause, newly diagnosed, or needing a new direction in your PCOS care - we would love to work together with you.
