How does Emsella Work?
EMSELLA uses a technology known as HIFEM. (High Intensity Focused Electromagnetic Therapy)
HIFEM stimulation causes the pelvic floor muscles that control the bladder to contract to a supramaximal level – the equivalent of around 11,000 Kegel exercises in one treatment.
This continuous contracting not only strengthens the muscles, it improves the elasticity of the muscles and improves the brain-body connection between the bladder and the brain.
This results in better bladder control, less leaks, and can reduce pain and improve intimacy.

Just like any muscle, continued strengthening helps to maintain success. Periodic maintenance sessions help ensure continued strength and function of your pelvic floor muscles, keeping urinary incontinence and sexual dysfunction at bay. Many patients find that a follow up session every 3-6 months can help you continue to enjoy your improved confidence, freedom from leaks, and a better quality of life.
