Bowel, Bladder, and Gynecological Cancers

Not sure where to turn?

Bowel, bladder, and gynecological cancers present unique challenges that require specialized care. Our team is dedicated to supporting patients through every stage of their cancer journey, from diagnosis to recovery.

These types of cancers, and their treatments, can lead to various physical and emotional difficulties, including bowel and bladder dysfunction, pelvic pain, sexual health issues, and fatigue. Our rehabilitation team includes experts in pelvic health physiotherapy, pain management, and emotional support ensuring a comprehensive approach to care.

After pelvic cancers, many individuals experience common pelvic floor concerns that can significantly impact their quality of life. Once your cancer treatment is over it can be difficult to know where to go to with the next stage of recovery. Up to 50-70% of individuals will continue to struggle with symptoms such as urinary incontinence, urgency or frequency, bowel dysfunction, pelvic pain, and sexual health issues following treatments such as surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy.

  • We can bill most insurance companies directly for your physiotherapy, massage and acupuncture treatments. Counselling and Dietitian services vary depending on your plan. Most insurance companies, unfortunately, do not allow direct billing for Speech Therapy.

Your insurance company protects your privacy, and as a result, we are not able to access information about your coverage. You should speak to your company about the details of your plan, as every insurance plan/policy is unique and may have maximums per treatment and/or calendar year.

Our front desk staff would be happy to assist you with any questions regarding your insurance coverage for our services.

  • At Archstone, we prioritize your comfort and privacy. We offer private treatment rooms in a quiet, respectful, and confidential setting.
